Dr. Mohammed Maree started his journey with a strong foundation at the Arab American University of Palestine, where he graduated in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. This early academic success propelled him towards advanced studies and a Ph.D. in Information Technology from Monash University. Driven by a passion for research and innovation, he established himself as a prolific scholar, contributing to prestigious publications in journals and conferences including ICTAI, Knowledge-Based Systems, Complex & Intelligent Systems, Behaviour & Information Technology, Applied Sciences, Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage, IEEE Access, and more. His expertise is also recognized through his service as a committee member and reviewer for several conferences and journals, such as the World Wide Web, Scientific Reports,, Computational Intelligence Expert Systems, and more, solidifying his position in the field. Beyond research, Dr. Maree is a dedicated educator, having mentored a number of Master's and Ph.D. students in cutting-edge areas like knowledge engineering, data analysis, and hybrid intelligent systems. This academic engagement is complemented by his leadership roles in the tech sector, first as the Manager of Research and Development at gSoft Technology Solution Inc. and later as the Director of Research and QA with Dimensions Consulting Company where he gained real-world industry insights. His diverse experiences led Dr. Maree to return to his academic roots at the Arab American University of Palestine, where he has served in several pivotal positions, including full-time Lecturer, Head of the Multimedia Technology Department, Head of the Information Technology Department, and Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. These experiences have been enriched by consultancy work at SocialDice and Dimensions Consulting. Dr. Mohammed Maree is now an Associate Professor of Information Technology and the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at the Arab American University of Palestine, a position where he continues to impact education and research with his dedication, experience and deep knowledge of the field.
