ABET Accreditation has finished the assessment process of the accreditation of the Computer Systems Engineering program that lasted for four days through Zoom. The decision was that program will be accredited finally in August 2022 according to the process of the association.
ABET Accreditation did an evaluation, reviews and assessment of the Computer Systems Engineering program in the Faculty of Engineering in Arab American University according to the followed procedures. ABET met the Faculty members of the Computer Systems Engineering Department, the VP for Information Technology, the Admission and Registration Team, the Administrative Managers in addition to some students of the department.
In the fourth day, the committee submitted the initial report on the compliance of the Computer Systems Engineering with standards of ABET Accreditation with the presence of Dr. Adli Saleh- the Advisor of the Board of Directors for Planning and Development representing Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri- the University President, Dr. Moyada Abu Saa- the VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hazim Khanfar- the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Naser Hamad- the Rapporteur of ABET Internal Committee, Dr. Mahmoud Obaid- the Head of the Computer Systems Engineering Department in the Faculty of Engineering and Eng, Mais Awad- the Head of the Quality Department in AAUP.
ABET expressed their admiration in the developments in Arab American University from the infrastructures to the facilities and buildings and the services provided to the academics, students and the local community, in addition to the development of the Computer Systems Engineering program.
