A Workshop in AAUP Entitled "the Specialization Tracks for Computer Science Students and the Labor Market Requirements"

Hassib Sabbagh IT Center for Excellence and under cooperation with the Faculty of IT organized a workshop about the specialization tracks for Computer Science students and the requirements of the labor market.

The workshop focused on the challenges that the students and graduates of the Faculty of IT in the applications of the contemporary technology field especially the ones related to the Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, the Data Sciences and the Blockchain. The workshop also focused on promoting students’ capabilities to enable them to realize the challenges that the companies face in building these technology applications, and to introduce them on how to develop their skills to be updated regarding the work opportunities inside and outside of Palestine in this field.

Maysem Mohammed Ahmed Abdullah specialized in physics

The two researchers at Arab American University, Abeer Abdullah Zaarour (Abu Moyes), specialized in computer science and Maysem Mohammed Ahmed Abdullah, specialized in physics, won the Palestine Islamic Bank Prize for Scientific Research ranking second and third place.  ​

They announced the winners and gave them the financial awarded during the ceremony held at Palestine Polytechnic University in the presence of PLO Executive Committee member Mr. Ahmad Al-Tamimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Palestine Polytechnic University Mr. Refat Tahboub, Director General of the Bank Mr. Bayan Qassem and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Creativity and Excellence Eng. Adnan Samara.

Part of the defense of the Computer Science student, the researcher Khitam Ahmed Abu Hadia

The Researcher Khitam Asad Abu Hadia a computer science student at Faculty of Graduate studies at Arab American University discussed her MA thesis titled "Providing Adaptive Learning Content and Evaluations in the Learning of Moocs Platform Using Classification Algorithms".

The aim of the thesis is to provide a framework and a proposed adaptive learning model for the learner as an adaptive learning course through the content and evaluation tools that improve the level of education and the availability of learning needs, noting that the study contributed mainly to the use of automatic classification algorithms for adaptation and compatibility with the Moocs educational platforms to produce better results when applying the system.
