The Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University in Ramallah awarded two master degrees in strategic planning and fundraising, and conflict resolution and development.

The researcher Mohammed Soboh Musa Abu-Shamsieh, a student in the strategic planning and fundraising program, defended his thesis entitled “Determinants Of The Profits Distribution Policy In Public Shareholding Companies, A Case Study from the Palestine Exchange”.

The thesis aimed to identify the most important influencing factors on the profits distributing policy to non-financial companies in the Palestine Exchange and distributing profits to benefit from achieving further growth in the Palestinian market.

Researcher Abdallah Khalid Asali, Arab American University student in the Conflict Resolution and Development program at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended his master thesis entitled “The Impact of Internal Palestinian Division on Palestinian Universities Students’ Political Awareness”.

He discussed the impact of the internal Palestinian division on political awareness among Palestinian universities students from the point of view of the student movement in the West Bank universities, the movement social, political and cultural role during the Palestinian struggle various stages and the division impact on student activities that aim to raise students’ political and cultural awareness.

From Hasan Khalid Kameel Defense

Researcher Hasan Khalid Kameel, student in Conflict Resolution and Development Program at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended his master thesis entitled “Hunger Strike in Palestinian Context from Activists Point of View”.

In his thesis, he talked about the hunger strike in Palestinian context from activists view, its achievements and constraints and how to benefit from international experiences in this matter. He concluded, Palestinian prisoners' movement is a social one and it lacks applying global theories for better achievements.
