Hassib Sabbagh

The workshop focused on the challenges that the students and graduates of the Faculty of IT in the applications of the contemporary technology field especially the ones related to the Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, the Data Sciences and the Blockchain. The workshop also focused on promoting students’ capabilities to enable them to realize the challenges that the companies face in building these technology applications, and to introduce them on how to develop their skills to be updated regarding the work opportunities inside and outside of Palestine in this field.

The ceremony was under the auspices of Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri- the University President and during the ceremony, the three teams which won the first places in the competition were announced knowing that 20 teams from AAUP participated in this competition. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Moayad Abu Saa- the VP for Academic Affairs representing the President, Eng. Muhannad Hijawi- the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hassib Sabbagh Center, Dr. Muna Dumaidi- representing IEEE- Palestine, Dr. Wisam Sbaihat- the Health Director of Jenin Governorate and Mr.

Representing Hassib Sabbagh Center, Mr. Sami Awad opened the workshop by a speech as he welcomed the guests and started by emphasizing on the importance of the workshop that will be a place for entrepreneurship ideas presented by university students and local community members, in order to develop them by this project of “culture is the identity of steadfastness”. Ideas of this project will concentrate on the Palestinian culture and identity in the time when it this hard time, especially as technology will be used to enhance the culture and identity of steadfastness.
