Defense of a Master's Thesis in the Intensive Care Nursing Program at the Arab American University

Researcher Khaled Yousef Saabi, a student in the Master's Program in Intensive Care Nursing at the Arab American University, has defended his thesis “titled Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practice Regarding the Use of Physical Restraints among ICU Nurses at Palestinian Hospitals in North Area of West Bank”.

This study aimed to assess nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding the use of physical restraints in intensive care units in hospitals located in the northern West Bank. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires in which 180 nurses from intensive care units in public hospitals participated regarding perception, attitudes, knowledge, and nursing practices in applying physical restraints.

The data were analyzed using T-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis.

Defense of a Master's Thesis by Ameed Shanableh in the Neonatal Nursing Program at the Arab American University

Researcher Ameed Omar Shanableh, a student in the Neonatal Nursing Master's Program at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University, has defended his thesis titled "Risk Factors for Necrotizing Enterocolitis among Premature Infants and Palestinian Newborns: A Study of Cases and Evidence (a Retrospective Study)".

The thesis aims to study the risk factors for necrotizing enterocolitis in premature infants and Palestinian children. A descriptive and quantitative retrospective study design was conducted in tertiary care hospitals (governmental and private) in the West Bank that contain neonatal intensive care units (NICU) and treatment for necrotizing enterocolitis.

The study population was all neonates diagnosed with necrotizing enterocolitis who met the inclusion criteria.

Defense of a Master's Thesis at AAUP by Mohammad Abu Dhair in the Intensive Care Nursing Program

Researcher Mohammad Dawood Abu Dhair, a student in the Master's Program in Intensive Care Nursing at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University, has defended his thesis titled "The effect of the educational program for the ventilator via virtual reality on the knowledge and skills of nursing students at the Arab American University."

Regarding the significance of the study, the researcher explained that there is a weakness in terms of knowledge of the ventilator and also virtual reality, and this proposed research aims to contribute to the set of knowledge and skills by focusing on creating virtual patients in the field of the ventilator, which has a major role in enhancing and developing nursing in Palestine.
