Defense of a Master’s Thesis by Fouad Rasheed in the International Law and Diplomacy Program

Researcher Fouad Mamoun Rasheed, a student in the Master’s program in International Law and Diplomacy, has defended his thesis titled: “The Role of Informal Factors in Strengthening Palestinian Diplomacy: Public Diplomacy (1993-2023).”

The study aimed to identify the role of informal factors in strengthening Palestinian diplomacy: public diplomacy between 1993 and 2023. The researcher sought to analyze how unofficial parties interacted with the Palestinian government and how this cooperation contributed to strengthening Palestinian diplomatic efforts.

The United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Meets Students of AAUP

Mr. Tor Wennesland- the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process met the Post-Graduate students of Arab American University – Ramallah Campus, who are studying in the programs of PhD in Conflict Resolutions and Master in International Law and Diplomacy.

The meeting was entitled “The role of the United Nations on the peace process: between the final status files and the exit strategy from the current situation”. This meeting came as part of the Diplomacy course that Dr. Dalal Iriqat teaches in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in AAUP.

Director of the Geneva Academy of International and Humanitarian Law Visits the University Campus in Ramallah

From the visit

Prof. Robert Roth, Director of the Geneva Academy of International and Humanitarian Law at the University of Geneva, visited the university's campus in Ramallah. He was welcomed by Dr. Waleed Deeb, University Board of Directors Academic Advisor and Founding President, and Dr. Osama Salameh, VP for Development and Quality.

The visit aimed to discuss joint cooperation ways between the University and the Academy. After listening to a detailed talk about the university, Dr. Roth expressed his happiness visiting it and admiration for its advanced capabilities in education.
