This year, the students were accompanied by the Assistant to the dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Arab American University, Dr. Ramez Zaid, to supervise the students. He explained that this stage is the beginning of the students’ transition from the theoretical stage to the practical clinical stage. Dr. Ramez also stressed that the students’ participation in the summer school embodies the academic exchange of students and faculty members between the Arab American University and the University of Dundee.

Dr. Zaben presented the vision of the Faculty in building a generation to provide the Palestinian community with distinguished doctors, both intellectually and professionally, and reviewed the advisory plan and academic program of the Faculty.

The members of the board praised the vision, mission, and academic plan of the Faculty, and blessed the plan that is in line with modern medical faculties in Britain and the world, and considered this experience unique and worthy of study.

The training day was inaugurated with the presence of Dr. Malik Zaben, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (via Zoom), Dr. Ramez Zaid, Vice Dean, Dr. Imad Abu Al Rub, Director of the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Saja Nazzal, Assistant to the Dean for the Clinical Phase, Mrs. Areej Shalbak, Assistant to the Dean for Administrative Affairs, and a number of academic and administrative staff, in addition to representatives of the local national union in various medical faculties.
