AAUP Faculty of Medicine Joins the Global Gathering for the Study of Rare Genetic Diseases (GREGOR)

The Faculty of Human Medicine at the Arab American University Declares Joining the Global Gathering for the Study of Rare Genetic Diseases (Genomics Research to Elucidate the Genetics of Rare Diseases (GREGOR).

The group consists of global centres, including the Broad Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Baylor Faculty of Medicine, Stanford University, and the Information Centre of the University of Washington.

This group aims to unify the efforts of scientists in discovering the genes behind rare genetic diseases by developing methodologies for reading the genetic sequence using exome, genome, RNA and methylation patterns and other functional research.

AAUP Faculty of Medicine Obtains the Membership at the International Association for Medical Education (AMEE)

The Arab American University declared that the Faculty of Medicine has obtained membership in the International Association for Medical Education (AMEE), located in Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom. In this case, it is the first Faculty of Medicine in Palestine to obtain membership in this association. This association encompasses more than 90 Faculties of Medicine from different Countries of the world.

AMEE seeks to improve medical professions education around the world, develop teaching methods, support innovation in curriculum planning and teaching, and encourage research in the field of medical professions education.

The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the University Obtains (AACSB) Membership

The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Arab American University has obtained the membership of (AACSB) in preparation for obtaining a special accreditation for business faculties in the international universities.

The Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Abdelbaset Rabaiah, explained that this matter will pave the way for students to work in international institutions and companies that require this accreditation as a requirement for employment.
