Mr. Mohammad Sabaaneh Participates in a Conference at the University of Exeter, UK, Entitled "Transformation of Solidarity"

The instructor in the Department of Architecture and Design and the Palestinian artist, Mohammad Sabaaneh, participated in the conference that was held in the British city of Exeter with the participation of a group of British and international academics, the most prominent of whom was Professor Ilan Pappé, the head of the conference.

Mr. Sabaaneh's participation was entitled "Palestinian Visual Art and its Role in Political and Social Change". In this participation, he presented the most important Palestinian experiences in this field, using visual arts as of the Nakba to the Palestinian Revolution, ending with his personal experience, reflecting on academic theories and experiences worldwide.

This came in an academic conference held by the Center for Arab Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter, entitled "The Transformation of Solidarity".

AAUP Participates in the Fifth Annual Meeting of the Association of Deanships of Student Affairs in the UAE

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab American University participated in the fifth annual meeting of the Association of Deanships of Student Affairs in the United Arab Emirates, which was hosted by Al Ain University in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was attended by Secretary General of the Arab Universities Association, Dr. General of the Association of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ibtihal Rizk.

The Dean of Student Affairs at the Arab American University, Dr. Bshar Draghmah, and a group of deans from Palestinian and Arab universities from Lebanon, Egypt, Qatar, Oman and Jordan participated in the meeting.

Dr. Draghmah stated, "The meeting emphasized the importance of Deanships of Student Affairs and their central role in building the personality of the university student and refining him/her with the skills and capabilities that help them in their academic and practical university life, which results in a compatibility with the needs of the market."

The Arab American University participated in the first meeting of the ACT Virtual Exchanges for Active Citizenship project.

Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muayad Abusaa, the Project Coordinator at the University, Dr. Amjad Rattroot, Miss. Hanan Nazzal, and Director of the Projects Department, Miss. Samah Khalaf participated. This project comes in response to the call of Erasmus projects (ERASMUS-EDU-2021-VIRT-EXCH).
