Researcher Qutaiba Abdullhadi Al-Karam Thesis Defense

Researchher Qutaiba Abdullhadi Al-Karam, physics student at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended his master thesis titled “Resistance Spectrum, Structural Properties and Depending on Composite Ceramics Temperature”.

In his thesis, he explored some of the bismuth zinc niobium oxide ceramic composed with lanthanum characteristics, due to its famous high insulation application. Lanthanum concentration was changed in the range x =0.10 – x =0.22. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that ceramics grow individually from 33 – 57 nm when lanthanum concentration increases from 0.10 – 0.20.

Researcher Olfat Abdelfattah Omarieh Physics student at Faculty of Graduate Studies

Researcher Olfat Abdelfattah Omarieh, Physics student at Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended her master thesis titled “Physical Design and Diagnosis of Germanium / Indium Selenide / Gallium Sulfide Hybrid Devices”.

The researcher discussed diagnosing hybrid formula, manufactured from germanium, indium selenide and gallium sulfide chips, 200 nanometers thick each. Also using two layers of germanium and indium selenide as a base to sediment gallium sulfide. Those chips made using physical evaporation method. Structural and photodynamic studies, resistance spectrum, voltage curves and flow proved that this hybrid formula sounds promising to use in micro-transistors as it works like plasmodium devices and microwave resonator.

Eman Nazzal’s thesis defense

Researcher Eman Nazzal, physics student at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended her master thesis on “Effect of Indium Nano Layers on the Physical Properties of Gallium Sulfide Flakes”

Researcher studied the effects of planting an indium layer 20-200 nm between two slices of 500 nm gallium sulfide using the physical method of fumigation under air pressure. She also studied the effect of planting indium chips on structure and atomic distribution of elements, optical properties and isolation features. As well as impedance spectrum and heat-based electrical properties.
