Interior Architecture Students in a Field Trip to Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center

Students of the Interior Architecture program in AAUP that is offered as collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona – Italy, organized a field trip to “The Palestinian artist Mira Tamara exhibition” in Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah. The visit contributes in enhancing the practical side of their specialization and it is part of the students’ project in the Design Elements course.

Eng. Rinad Shqairat, who teaches the “Design Elements and Forming” course at AAUP said that: “this visit aims to enhance the practical side of what students have learned theoretically. It helps students to know the main elements that form art, and so enables students to analyze and understand arts, and this will broaden their way of thinking and understanding.”

AAUP Organizes an Electoral Debate for Arabic Language and Media Students to Form a Pictorial Syndicate for Youth Journalists

AAUP and the Palestinian Youth Association for Leadership and Rights Activation- PYALARA have organized an electoral debate for Arabic Language and Media students. This debate was organized in partnership with the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate and the Central Elections Committee and aims to form a pictorial syndicate for youth journalists.

PYALARA has launched this initiative entitled “Communication”, aiming to engage youth in the syndicate work by forming pictorial syndicates in the Palestinian universities.

Students  during their “Let’s See a Movie” project discussion

The Deanship of Student Affairs in AAUP organized a project entitled “Let’s See a Movie” under collaboration with “Shashat Woman Cinema”. This project enhances students’ capabilities in group discussions and presentations, and it enables them to actively contribute in building a democratic community that respects human rights and diversity.

After discussing the movie “Kilimanjaro Girls” for director Maisa AlSha’er, the student Nermeen Abu Tbaikh- student at the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences said that she appreciates this opportunity that enabled her to stand and talk in front of audience. She said that this project is good for teaching them how to do time management and run discussions by asking and answering questions. It encouraged audience to express their opinions and convince others.
