Part of the meeting with the Turkish Cultural Attaché

Mr. Raha Armamjo- the Turkish Cultural Attaché in Palestine and Dr. Abdulqadir Staih- the Head of the Turkish Cultural Center in Ramallah visited Arab American University to discuss cultural collaboration and some joint interest issues, and to enhance the collaboration relations between AAUP and other Turkish universities and scientific and research centers.

Dr. Moyad Abu Saa- the VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Musdaq Barahmeh- the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Atef Qasrawi- the Physics Professor in AAUP and Dr. Fadi Jumaa- the Public Relations Manager were in their reception.

AAUP Took Part in the 6th INCSOS Congress Celebrating the Centenary of the Turkish National Anthem

Dr. Mohammad Dawabshe represented Arab American University in participating in the 6th INCSOS congress in Turkey entitled “The Turkish National Anthem and Mehmet Akif Ersoy in the 100th Anniversary with its Universal Dimensions”

Dr. Dawabsheh presented a scientific research paper entitled: “The Humanitarian Dimension and Foreseeing the Future in the Turkish National Anthem”, as he discussed two main issues, the first is about the Umayyad humanitarian dimension where we can find goodness, giving and peace, and the second is about foreseeing the future as he explained how the anthem writer “Mehmet Akif Ersoy” has predicted the freedom and independency of the Turkish people and he was positive that this will happen when he wrote the anthem in 1921 and Turkey got its independence in 1923.

With the participation of many universities from Asia and Europe, Arab American University has participated in the Eurasia Higher Education Summit (Eurie) 2020 that was held in Istanbul- Turkey from Feb. 19th – Feb. 21st.
