World Economic Forum Chooses Dr. Dalal Iriqat- the Vice President for International Relations among the most Inspiring and Responsible Young Global Leaders for 2021

The World Economic Forum has chosen Dr. Dalal Iriqat- the Vice President for International Affairs in Arab American University to represent Palestine as a Young Global Leader after a rigorous selection process to identify and select remarkable, inspiring and responsible leaders under 40.

Dr. Iriqat is the first Palestinian to represent Palestine outside the business field, and the first Palestinian academic among only other 7 academics from around the world, and also the first to represent the Palestinian Academic World in the World Economic Forum.

Dr. Dalal Iriqat is the Vice President for International Relations in Arab American University and a professor in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in Diplomacy and Strategic Planning. In addition, Dr. Iriqat writes a weekly Column in Al Quds Palestinian newspaper for over 6 years now.

Dr. Bashar Daraghmeh- the Dean of Student Affairs congratulated both students for winning and expressed how proud he is of the Arab American University students who always seek winning in local and international competitions. Dr. Daraghmeh also appreciated the role that AAUP does to provide all the needed support for its students and help them be creative in all fields.

AAUP team qualified to represent Palestine in the HULT Prize 2020 Competition

Greeners team from AAUP was qualified to represent Palestine in the semifinal stage at the HULT Prize 2020 competition that will take place in Boston– USA later this summer.

The team that contains students Lina Zahaika, Noor Daraghmeh, Haytham Sharabati and Ahmad Asa’d was qualified after they participated in the regional competition that was held via internet through remote communication means following the emergency procedure. This competition was meant to take place in Rawabi city this month but was changed to this remote competition via internet due to the spread of the new Coronavirus- COVID-19, and now AAUP team and another team from Gaza will represent Palestine internationally.
