Abstract:

The survey aimed to evaluate Al-Aqsa University’s distance learning experience during the outbreak of Covid-19 and identify the obstacles that the students faced during their experience with distance learning. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach to study a sample population of all students of the first year in the academic year 2020/2021. Out of this sample population, 11560 responded to an electronic questionnaire that was used to collect data through a Comprehensive Survey Method.  Then the questionnaire was statistically analyzed to address the study’s questions and hypotheses.

The findings of the survey showed that Al-Aqsa University students’ evaluation of the University’s distance learning experience during the spread of Corona virus was (65.17%). Likewise, the students’ rating of the learning obstacles reached an average of (67.13%). In addition, there were statistically significant differences at (α0.05 ≥ ) attributed to the variables of gender and academic faculty. There were no significant differences at (α0.05 ≥ )  ascribed to the educational level. The study suggested improving this experience through holding specialized workshops to develop online learning and drafting a well-defined plan for distance learning by the Ministry of Higher Education.
