This course aims to explore the implications of the sustainability debate as well as of healthy buildings on the professional roles and working practice of built environment stakeholders. The sustainable construction course introduces the concepts of sustainable designing construction. It provides an understanding of the environmental and resource implications of construction activity. The objective of this course is to familiarize the student with green construction methods and benefits in applying the leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles. This course provides a coverage of the different systems significant in the design of buildings, which are: human, mechanical and natural systems.
