Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Omar Sadeq is an Associate Professor with a specialization in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He earned his M.D. in General Medicine and Surgery from Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University (ZSMPhU), Ukraine, in 1998. In 2000, he completed a clinical residency in Endocrinology. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Medicine with a subspecialty in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics in 2003 from the National Research Center for Biologically Active Compounds (NRCBAC) in Moscow, Russia.

Dr. Sadeq has held several academic leadership roles at the Arab American University (AAUP), including:

• Director of the Biomedical Sciences Department, Faculty of Medicine (2018–2023)
• Head of the Pharmacology Department, Basic Medical Sciences (2018–2019)
• Head of the Basic Medical Sciences Unit, Faculty of Dentistry (2015–2017)
• Council Member, Faculty of Dentistry (2012–2017)
• Vice President, Basic Medical Sciences Unit, Faculty of Dentistry (2012–2015)

From 2008 to 2017, Dr. Sadeq taught core subjects in Basic Medical Sciences—including Pharmacology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology—to undergraduate dental students. He also taught Clinical Pharmacology to graduate students in Orthodontics.

His research and academic interests focus on the pharmacological effects and clinical applications of antibiotics, corticosteroids, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
