Mechatronics Engineering


Mechatronic engineering graduates will be effective interdisciplinary engineers and problem solvers.



  • To develop capacity in building and developing mechatronics systems, providing engineering solutions in the economic, social and environmental context.
  • To develop the ability to design a component or a system to meet desired needs within realistic constraints.
  • To develop the ability to use the different mechatronics techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
  • To equip individuals with the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary for success in employment in the mechatronics engineering.
  • Enabling progression to an undergraduate degree or further professional qualification in mechatronics engineering or related areas.
  • To develop ethics, sense of serving the people, and meeting the requirements of healthy environment.



This qualification meets the needs of the above objectives by equipping graduates with the perfect set of knowledge and skills to:

  1. Be able to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
  2. Be able to model and analyze electronical, mechanical, and control systems and their interconnection.
  3. Be able to participate in system design, use and operation of products in the field of mechatronics such as industrial robots, CNC machines, flexible production systems...
  4. Be able to integrate mechanical, electronics, control and computer engineering in the design of mechatronics systems.
  5. Be able to do the complete design, building, interfacing and actuation of a mechatronic system for a set of specifications and requirements.
  6. Be proficient in the programming of microcontrollers.
  7. Be equipped with social skills needed to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and in an international environment.


Careers of Gradutes

Mechatronics Engineering graduates can select from a wide spectrum of industries for career choices and can also contribute in a variety of roles including design engineer, software engineer, project planner, product designer, and project manager. Mechatronics engineering program graduates are able to select from jobs as mechatronics specialists in a variety of industries. Opportunities will also be available to graduates in smaller companies that need specialists who can perform mechanical and electrical systems design, as well as maintenance engineering functions.
