The Arab American University has realized the importance of scientific research and considered it one of the three pillars to achieve its vision and mission. The university attaches great importance to scientific research to achieve high-quality research outputs that contribute to improving the scientific and research level of the university locally and internationally. The university has been keen to provide most of what the academic staff and students need to enable them to conduct their scientific research and publish it in prestigious scientific journals and classified and indexed international conferences. 

The Arab American University has worked to develop scientific research fields in line with its vision and mission by encouraging academic staff and university students to focus on applied research related to the needs of society and technological development. A special budget has been allocated for this purpose to support various scientific research activities to enhance the research position of the Arab American University through an effective and systematic contribution to scientific research, direct research activities in the university's colleges, and raising the scientific research quality.

The university encourages and supports research activities conducted by faculty and students. To achieve this, the Deanship of Scientific Research oversees and follows up on various research initiatives, including:

• Publishing research in peer-reviewed and indexed scientific journals

• Faculty participation in indexed scientific conferences

• Organizing local and international conferences

• Providing internal funding for research projects

• Managing externally funded research projects

• Publishing scientific books

• Supporting patent applications
