Dr. Shireen Al Mahanieh
works as a dentist at the Arab American University .. and the first Palestinian dentist got a Palestinian board degree in orthodontics from a highly specialized program in Palestine.
She finished her high school in Yatta Secondary Girls School- Scientific Stream, 2004- with GPA of 95.6
Shireen finished her BA Degree in Dentistry and graduated from AAUP on the honor list. She got the first place in the Jordan Medical Council practice exam.
After Graduation, Shireen moved to Qatar and worked in many medical centers that are specialized in Dentistry. And during this time, she applied for the MRCS examination in Ireland – part one.
Shireen was one of the first students to apply for the Residency Program in Orthodontics in AAUP, and during that she got the first place in the thirteenth Arab Conference and the tenth Jordanian conference in Orthodontics.
After a lot of hard work and effort, Shireen finally got the Palestinian Board Degree in Orthodontics and was registered as the first Palestinian female dentist to get this degree of this highly specialized program in Palestine.
Dr. Shireen succeeded to start her own dentistry clinic in Jenin.
Commenting on her success, Dr. Shireen said:
The secret for success is perseverance, continuous work and never losing hope until you achieve your goals.
As Mahmoud Darwish once said: I have a hope that comes and goes, but I will never let it go.
