AAUP and National Security Forces Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding

Eng. Bara Asfour- the Assistant to the President and General Amin Fawalha- the Deputy Commander of the National Security Forces signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding that focused on enhancing the partnership between both bodies.

Attended the signing, Mr. Faleh Abu Arrah- the General Director of the Arab American University Company, Mr. Fadi Jumaa- the Public Relations Manager, General Hatem Waked- the Public Relations and Media Manager in the National Security, General Khalid Raslan- the Head of the Higher Committee for Academic Affairs and some officers.

Eng. Bara Asfour- the Assistant to the President explained that this MoU aims to enhance the understanding and cooperation relations and to encourage the joint partnership between the academic and security sectors and develop their capabilities. Eng. Asfour also said that Arab American University always seeks to develop the abilities and skills of its staff and students and is always keen to start collaboration relations with the private, governmental and civil Palestinian organizations and especially in experiences mobility, through the training, qualifying and educating the staff, individuals and students in the different fields.

General Amin Fawalha- the Deputy Commander of the National Security Forces ensured that such MoU between the academic and security institutions is very important and explained that this cooperation will have a positive impact on the performance in general. He added that while both parties are seeking to develop their programs and activities in the best way, this MoU came to stress on the joint collaboration to help in achieving goals according to the available possibilities.

The signed MoU contained exchange in the knowledge, educational, cognitive and cultural fields, experiences exchange, mutual benefit from the infrastructure and administrative topics available for both parties in the field of training and developing skills and abilities, and to work in exchanging administrative and gained experiences.

Moreover, both parties emphasized that they will start volunteering in awareness community activities and events, provide the technical possible assistant, raise awareness in the university community and organize training meetings and programs.
