Arab American University and the National Security Services organized a graduation ceremony for a group of the national security officers working in the Public Relations and Media Departments in the West Bank. Those graduates participated in a four-day Media course organized by the Public Relations Department and the Faculty of Arts in AAUP.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Muayad Abusaa- the VP for Academic Affairs representing Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri- the University President, Colonel Iyad Bazzari- representing General Major Nidal Abu Dokhan- the Chief of the National Security, Dr. Musadaq Barahmeh- the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Mr. Fadi Jumaa- the Public Relations Department Manager.
Dr. Abusaa started the ceremony in a speech on behalf of the University President were he welcomed the guests and transferred the greetings of Prof. Abu Zuhri. He congratulated the officers on their graduation from this important course where trainers from AAUP were able to provide the basics and methodology of media in a professional way, and he ensured on the importance of cooperation between the university and the national security especially that the university is always open for collaboration relations with the local community. Colonel Iyad Bazzari expressed his appreciation to Arab American University and the course that was organized by them, and he transferred the greetings of General Major Nidal Abu Dokhan. He also praised the role of everyone who took part in this valuable training course that benefited the officers who participated in it form the different public relations and media departments in the West Bank. Moreover, he said that this course contributed largely in providing officers with professional foundations that will help in delivering the message of the National Security Services to the Palestinian people and ensured that the course achieved its goals positively.
The ceremony was concluded by honoring the trainees by Arab American University, and honoring the responsible people of the course and who participated in it, and the graduates were handed the certificates.
The Public Relations Department and the Faculty of Arts in Arab American University organized a training course in Media that targeted officers from the national security and they were trained on writing the news, photography and photographic design. The course was trained by Mr. Saeed Abumualla- the Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Modern Media, Mr. Sudqi Mouse- a Lecturer in the Arabic Language and Media Department, Mr. Mahmoud Abufarha- an employee at the Public Relations Department, and Mr. Bilal Khamaysa and Mr. Ouday Aburub- from the Studio Department in the university.
