AAUP and the Palestinian Police signed a Cooperation Agreement in Several Fields, mainly in educational, training, awareness, knowledge and technological exchange.

AAUP and the Palestinian Police Sign a Cooperation Agreement in Several Fields

AAUP President Prof. Ali Abu Zuhri and the Police GM Deputy General Jihad Masimi signed the agreement with the presence of AAUP assistants and representatives, along with the Police representatives.

The agreement signed between the two parties focuses on continuous communication in knowledge and technology exchange, cooperation in academic and training programs, studies and statistics exchange, organizing educational, awareness and voluntary activities to serve the community, training and developing students, enhancing skills and capacity building, conducting joint scientific and applied research. In addition to organizing workshops, educational and scientific conferences, and benefiting from the specialized centers at the university and police centers, that will all lead to strengthen cooperation in serving the community.

Prof. Abu Zuhri added, “that this agreement covers all areas of cooperation in common interest, that will enhance the competencies of both the police and university, and as a result will serve citizens and strengthen national work”. He also praised the role of police and the great efforts made to maintain security and safety, law and order, protecting the rights of citizens and Freedoms. In addition to the humanitarian community role played by the police in serving the citizens and providing support and help to the Palestinian people.

From his part, General Masimi assured that the relationship between the two parties is a strong and solid one since many years, pointing out that the university is a Palestinian national model to follow and a proof of the Palestinian’s capital ability to invest and build. Assuring that the university plays a leading national role since half of its students are from the 1948 Palestinian interior, as it continuously seeks to develop and integrate its relations with national institutions, as well as developing unique academic programs for its students that meet with the Palestinian and international markets.
