AAUP and Princess Basma Center in Jerusalem Enhance Collaboration in Rehabilitation Field

Princess Basma Center in Jerusalem received a delegation from Arab American University who visited to enhance collaboration relations in the field of clinical training for students. AAUP aimed to benefit from the university students’ training program that the center offers as one of its main programs targeted to transfer the experiences and knowledge in the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy.

Arab American University represented by Dr. Mohammad Omar- the Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences honored Princess Basma Center represented by Dr. Wadah Malhees- the Medical Manager for its great efforts in training graduates from the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy programs to improve their skills and develop their scientific and professional capabilities among the high international standards and measures of the center.

The honoring event also focused on some other cases and issues to enhance the collaboration between both organizations in the allied medical sciences field. Dr. Waddah Malhees said: “We appreciate the great efforts of Arab American University in developing its students to make them distinguish in their fields even after graduation, and our Center keens to higher the cooperation level with the university to be harmony with the policies of the center”.

He added: “we will visit the university soon to see the developments and prosperity that the university reached, and ensured that the collaboration relations will expand to include everything that will help in serving the local community and the graduates”.

Commenting on this, Dr. Mohammad Omar said: “we are looking forward to increase the number of our students-trainees from the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy programs in Princess Basma Center especially because of its high qualifications and capabilities in medical rehabilitation, and the number of students who are waiting for their turns to be prepared to the practical life and joining the labor market. He also wished students to achieve the best things that will have positive impacts on them”.
