Arab American University has hosted the badminton championship “Singles and Doubles” in the sport hall, for the school students of the northern governorates “males and females” that was organized by the Student Activities Department in the Ministry of Education.

Mr. Aahed Abu Rub- the representative of the Ministry of Education and the Head of the Student Activities Department in the Directorate of Education in Jenin said that seven governorates in the north of the West Bank have participated in the championship that was organized for two days, as they have competed for the first and second place for singles and doubles.

Mr. Abu Rub also clarified that the purpose of this championship is to encourage the competition and challenge spirit between students and to focus on the importance of sports as part of the education of school students. He thanked Arab American University for the generous hosting of the championship and for providing what it needs to make it a successful experiment.

Dr. Uday Daraghmeh- the Head of the Sport Facilities emphasized on the importance of the collaboration between Arab American University and the Ministry of Education and assured that the sport facilities in AAUP are always ready to receive and welcome any championship on the local, Arab or international levels.
