Arab American University hosted the heads of the Languages Departments and the heads of the English Language Departments in the Palestinian universities including: Palestine Ahliya University, Bethlehem University, Al Quds University- Abu dees, Al Quds Open University, Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, An Najah National University, Birzeit University and Al Istiqlal University. This meeting cams as part of a series of regular meetings for the heads of departments in order to discuss some different aspects such as the organizing of the first scientific conference for Languages under the slogan: “Linguistic Challenges in the Digitization Era: Cases and Prospects”.

The universities agreed to organize this first Languages conference in Al Istiqlal University during November- 2022 with the participation of all the West Bank Universities physically, and the universities of Gaza through the Video Conference.

The participated universities recommended putting some focus on the role of professors and teachers, the educational environment, enhancing the role of IT- specialist people to help in the researches and e-lectures and the impact of changing the modern communication means on education and language.

At the end of the meeting, committees of the conference were formed such as the preparatory committees, the scientific committees, the advisory committees and the financial committees.
