The Arab American University hosted the international trainer, Dr. Monther Al-Haram, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Victoria Academy for Consulting and Training in Britain, in a two-day training workshop on human development, targeting university students. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the Ambassadors for Global Development Organization.
Dr. Monther Al-Haram, of Libyan origin, holds British citizenship, is an international trainer accredited by several international institutions, resides in Britain, and holds many positions, including head of the Arab and Islamic community in Nottingham, chairman of the Victorian Academy for Consulting and Training in Britain, and a member of the Academy’s board of directors of Ambassadors of global development for training and development. He trained in 48 countries. More than 10,000 people benefited from his training programs at the level of banks, institutions, companies, governments and universities.
The training workshop was entitled "Willpower and Success Making". It targeted a number of students from the Faculties of Arts, Administrative and Financial Sciences, in the fields of Arabic language and media, business administration, and human resources.
The workshop began with a speech delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Mosaddaq Barahmeh, in the presence of the trainer at the Ambassadors of Global Development Academy for Training and Development in Palestine, Mr. Muhanna Najm, the advisor of the University Board of Directors, Dr. Adli Saleh, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muayad Abusaa, and the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Abdel Basset Rabiaa. Dr. Barahmeh welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of the training workshop, which the students could benefit from in their practical life, and this is one of the goals of the university in hosting international trainers and benefiting from their experiences.
For his part, Dr. Monther Al-Haram started the workshop with the story of his dream to visit Palestine. He had this dream in middle school and he achieved it. He stressed that one has the right to dream, but s/he must achieve it with will, persistence and planning, pointing out that one’s pursuit of her/his dream begins with self-development. Dr. Monther added "You will be wonderful and successful if you are wonderful inside yourself," stressing that the path of success begins with the right decision.
He also stressed the need for a person to have special skills that everyone needs, and the more skills one has, the more others will need her/him, pointing out that the best skills are life skills, which come out from time management and proper planning.
