The Arab American University Journal of Research got the first place over the 30 other Palestinian journals, and the second place between the other 465 journal who participated from all over the Arab world in the Arab Impact Factor ranking for the year 2021. AAUP got an impact factor of 3.5 which is an achievement to the university and to Palestine.
The “Arab Impact Factor” is considered to be a measure of the importance of the scientific journals as it measures the quality, the strength and originality of the Arab journals of all fields. This factor is the reference for the scientific journals within their field of research.
It also reflects how much information each journal include references from the previous researches that were published previously in the same journal, and this indicates that this journal will get a higher impact factor and shows that this journal is important and reliable as a resource for the scientific community.
Prof. Mohammad Awad- the Dean of the Scientific Research in AAUP said: “getting the first place over the Palestinian journals and the second place in Arab World level is an achievement to the university and shows how AAUP administration focuses and encourages the scientific research which is the foundation of sciences and the main factor for development”.
About the importance of the Arab Impact Factor, Prof. Awad emphasized that this factor introduces the Arab researchers to the most important journals of their fields and introduces the Arab publishing offices to the scientific researches and the importance of such journals in each field.
Prof. Awad also added: “Arab Impact Factor also highlights the scientific impact of the Arab researchers as the factor mentions them as references to their specific studies in the related fields, and so it shows the most powerful scientific and research institutions in the scientific fields by referring the researches to their researchers. And it is worth to mention that the Natural Sciences Publishing supervises Arab Impact Factor (NSP).”
