Nael Abed Aljabar Zaidan, a researcher and computer science student at The Arab American University, won the second place in the Islamic Palestinian Bank Award for scientific research for the year 2021-2022.
During a celebration that was organized by the ministry of higher education and scientific research, and the Islamic Palestinian Bank at the national institute for educational training, it was announced that the researcher won second place and he received a reward in the presence of The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Mahmoud Abu Mowais and the director of the Islamic Palestinian Bank Dr. Emad Alsadi.
The researcher and winner, Zaidan, provided research about applied sciences ( land,water,agriculture) and its role in enhancing local production. The research was supervised by Dr. Mohammed Maree from The Arab American University as a main supervisor and Dr. Sobhi Saman from water authority as a co-supervisor.
This is the 3rd time that a student from The Arab American University has won the Islamic Palestinian Bank Award for scientific research suprvised by Dr. Mohammed Maree. The researcher Abeer Aballah Zarour who majors in MA of computer science has won the award in 2019 and got 2nd place. Also, in 2016 the researcher Aseel Kmail won the 3rd place in the award.
It is noteworthy that the Islamic Palestinian Bank award gives the winning reseachers appreciation for their efforts and contribution in providing a scientific addition or a unique mechanism in the field of scientific research or the most publication in well-known and high ranked magazines as well as it encourages researchers for more important research achievements that serve the community.
