
Student Shahd Mallouh from the Faculty of Medicine at the Arab American University has participated in an international conference titled "A Case Study on Integrating Education Using Virtual Reality Amidst Occupation Challenges in Palestine", organized by the International Association for Health Professions Education and AMEE.
The student participated in the conference by presenting a scientific research as part of the OXPAL student group titled (A case study on integrating VR Teaching amidst Occupation Challenges in Palestine). The research explored how to use virtual reality (VR) technology as an effective educational tool in Palestine, despite the challenges and difficulties imposed by the occupation. The research focused on how educational institutions adapt to difficult circumstances and integrate modern technologies, such as virtual reality, to improve the quality of education in the fields of health professions and medical education.
Student Shahd explained that the goal of her participation in the conference was to learn about the latest developments and practices in the field of health professions education and to communicate with researchers and professionals from around the world, as well as to benefit from their experiences and educational methods to develop her skills, in addition to contributing to the development of the health sector.
Student Shahd confirmed that this participation will add great benefit to her during her educational and professional career in the future. She indicated that she will be able to learn about new and innovative methods in teaching health professions, which will help her improve her academic and professional performance, in addition to providing an opportunity to communicate with experts in the field, which may open new horizons for her in scientific research, professional development and specialization in the future.
