The Environmental and Community Health Department in the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences in AAUP and under collaboration with ActionAid institution have organized an environmental awareness day entitled “Balance the Earth Again”

Activities of the campaign “Balance the Earth Again”

In the environmental day, the students of the Technology Environmental Science Program and under supervision of Mr. Moez Shalbak- the Head of the Environmental and Community Health Department and Ms. Lama Hadmi- the Coordinator of the campaign from ActionAid have interacted with the students of the university by doing some competitions and contests about environment causes that interest the Palestinian society in specific and the world in general such as the pollution by solid waste, methods of treatment and disposal, global warming and climate change that affect our Palestinian environment and the world.

Students also interacted with the activities in a positive way and some environment friendly samples were given to participated students to encourage them to use it as an alternate to the glasses and plastic bags.

A discussion was also raised between students from different backgrounds about the sustainable practices that can be adapted to enhance the environmental awareness among them.
