Arab American University participated in sponsoring “AlQuds and Alkarameh” championship that is planned to be in 19 March 2022 until 30 March 2022 under the auspices of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas "Abu Mazen" and His Majesty King Abdullah II “Abu Hussien” of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Six Palestinian and Jordanian Clubs will be part of this championship which are: Al-Wehdat SC, Al-Ramtha SC and Al-Faisaly FC from Jordan and Rafah Club, Hebron Club and Jabel Mukaber Club from Palestine.

Eng. Bara Asfour- the Assistant to the President of AAUP expressed his pride to choose Arab American University International Stadium to host the games and said that the university has financially supported the championship in addition to opening the other sports facilities for this championship

Eng. Asfour clarified that upon the directions of the Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Yousef Asfour, all possibilities and facilities will be offered and facilitated to this championship to make it a successful one and said that AAUP will always support sports locally, regionally and internationally and ensured that the university will keep its different facilities available and open to receive any future sports activities and it will always be the sponsor for such distinguish championships. He added that he wishes for this championship to be of highly competitive as this champion reflects unity and brotherhood between Palestine and Jordan.

“Al Quds and Al Karameh” championship will be hosted in AAUP International Stadium in addition to Faisal Al Hussaini Stadium and Dura Stadium and will be arbitrated by Palestinian and Jordanian arbitration teams. The participated teams were divided into two groups, each group has three clubs and the winner in each group will be nominated for the final game. The division is as the following, Rafah Club and Al-Wehdat SC in the first group, in addition to Hebron Club who are the Palestinian League Champion, and the second group has Jabel Mukaber Club and Al-Faisaly SC, in addition to Al-Ramtha SC who are the Jordanian League Champion.
