Tuesday, May 30, 2023

In mid-June, a group of medical students from the Arab American University will participate in the Neuroscience Summer School which has annually been organized by the British University of Cambridge for 26 years.

The names of the participating students were announced in a festive atmosphere that brought together the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Malik Zaben, the academic staff and the medical students.

Regarding the formula of selecting scholarship students, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who will accompany the students on their educational journey, said: "We selected the students based on their performance in the neuroscience course, and this will become an annual tradition at the Arab American University." He added, "This participation allows the students to meet students majoring in human medicine from all around the world, where they will participate in lectures by eminent neuroscience scientists."

It is noteworthy that the University of Cambridge was founded in 1209, and it is the second oldest university in the English-speaking world after the University of Oxford. The University of Cambridge is considered one of the best universities in the world in terms of teaching medicine as it started it in 1504 AD.
