Arab American University Hassib Sabbagh Center Holds "EntrepreneurshipIn the Eyes of Youth" Conference

Hassib Sabbagh Center for IT Excellence at Arab American University held a conference “Entrepreneurship In the Eyes of Youth”, five figures were hosted they’ve establish pioneering projects, explaining their construction mechanism, the reasons and challenges they faced.

The Director of Hassib Sabbagh Center Alaa Hattab said that the conference aim, which was part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, was to spread the leadership culture in universities and society and emphasize the importance of entrepreneurial work. The attendees knew real experiences of a group of young people, they were students, graduates and a number of faculty members.

It included three rounds of dialogue for youths. Tariq Al-Bazour, Engineer and student at Palestine Technical University Khadoori, founder of “Roman” for Media Solutions and Training, started talking about his company's nature of work, managing web pages, planning, developing, content creation, marketing services, and intensive training and education.

Ansar Akrama, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology student at the Arab American University, founder of “Cloud Rain” charity project to help the blind converting books into audio files to qualify them to learn in a soft way. Continued the public relations officer at the Arab American University Mahmoud Abu Farha, one of the University graduates, founder of “Shadda” for fashion design and sale them online, and “Saturn” for marketing solutions; a specialist in advertising design, digital marketing and social networking management.

The Arab American University graduate, Ahlam Abu Khadr, mentioned her Brazilian Embroidery project with a touch of Palestinian Folklore called “Roses”. Her project adds innovative embroideries to clothes and shoes then promoting them through social media and participation in specialized exhibitions.

Adnan Jaber, student at the Arab American University, presented an explanation of his project “Sakani” a website which the student can search for vacant accommodation and places around the university.

The attendees discussed the presented projects mechanisms, difficulties facing founders, and entrepreneurship projects management.

At the end, participants recommended everyone to believe in their idea if it’s distinctive and innovative and examine, test and question it, then resort to guides and specialized institutions and not stop by obstacles, but work to overcome them.
