The Arab American University has held a medical day in Tubas Governorate and the Northern Valley, as part of a campaign carried out by the University in the governorates, targeting the local community and their children.

The meeting was inaugurated by the Acting Governor of Tubas and the Northern Valley, Ahmed Al Asa’ad, who welcomed the attendees and appreciated the role of the Arab American University in this humanitarian initiative to serve citizens. Al Asa’ad also appreciated AAUP’s important role in the region, and its interest in the scientific process at all levels.

The Assistant to University President for Community Affairs, Dr. Laila Herzallah, stressed the University’s endeavor to strengthen the relationship with all institutions in the society due to the importance of community partnership, which comes within the University’s mission of sustainable development. She thanked all the efforts made by those in charge of this medical day. Dr. Herzallah also thanked the pharmaceutical companies, Including Al-Quds and Sama Companies, who all strived to provide the best scientific, medical and humanitarian services and expertise in light of the circumstances Palestinians are going through.

The medical day was attended by the Tubas Municipality, the Fatah Movement, the Red Crescent Society, the Tubas Charitable Society, AAUP doctors Dr. Ahed Zakarneh and Dr. Imad Abu Al Rub as well as university students from various medical faculties.
