Arab American University in cooperation with Jenin’s Civil Defense Department held a session in public safety for laboratory technicians at the university.

The session included, introduction on fires causes and types, fire extinguishing mechanisms for each kind, errors to be avoided during disasters. The course also included practical training on using fire extinguishers of all kinds and fire blanket along with laboratory evacuation training.

 “The university through Continuous Education Center holds a number of trainings annually for its staff, each in its provision, to have positive impact on the university and its staff”, said Vice President for Training Affairs Dr. Nizam Diab.

As a result, it was agreed with the Civil Defense Department to form emergency committees of the university’s security department employees and faculties and provide laboratory technicians with safety applications to have on their portable devices.
