A delegation from Assal Technology Company visited the Arab American University. The delegation had a meeting with the deans of the Faculties of Engineering and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Hazem Khanfar and Dr. Mohammad Marie, the heads of departments in the two faculties, and the general director of Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence, Engineer Mays Awad. The meeting aimed at consolidating relations between the two institutions, and finding a mechanism for developing the training of faculties’ students in Asal Company.

During the meeting, the parties discussed several topics related to practical training for students and the mechanism for developing these trainings. The two parties also presented several ideas and initiatives for the students and their development in the technological aspect, as a number of students from both faculties are training at Asal Technology Company within an agreement signed between the company and the University.

The meeting was followed by a meeting including the students who recently completed training at Asal Company, the trainers in the company, in addition to the deans of the Faculties of Engineering and Information Technology, the general director of Hassib Sabagh IT Center of Excellence, and the heads of the departments of the two faculties. The attendees listened to the students and how they benefited from the training at the Company in addition to taking notes. The trainers made recommendations to the company and the University in order to develop the students’ skills during the upcoming training courses.

The meeting was concluded with the distribution of certificates to the students who completed their training at the company as well as honoring the trainers for their efforts during the training.
