The student Hilal Abdel Raouf Assaf, a student of data science and business analysis at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies at the Arab American University, passed the discussion of his MA Thesis. The thesis is entitled:
“Skin Cancer Classification Using Deep Learning Techniques”.
In his thesis, the researcher dealt with skin cancer through a global database. He could build a system that classifies skin tumours into malignant and benign tumours with high accuracy through the use of improved deep learning techniques.
His thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Awad, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Arab American University.
At the end of the defence, the committee consisting of the supervisor, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Awad from the Arab American University, the internal examiner Dr. Rami Hodrob from the Arab American University, and the external examiner Dr. Rami Yousef from Palestine Technical University Kadoorie, decided to grant the student Hilal Assaf the M.A degree.
