Defense of Master Thesis About Gender Inequality and the Situation of Palestinian Women in the Public Sector

The researcher, Jenin Wahib Abu Amouneh, a student in strategic planning program at Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University in Ramallah, discussed her MA thesis entitled "A Strategy overcome Gender Equality and the Situation of Palestinian Women in the Public Sector"

Defense of Master Thesis by the researcher Jenin Wahib Abu Amouneh, student of strategic planning program.

In her thesis, the researcher aimed to overcome gender inequality and the situation of Palestinian women in the public sector. A qualitative analysis was adopted to analyze gender discrimination in the workplace and a strategy to overcome gender discrimination in Palestine. The results of the research questions, which included questions on gender discrimination in the workplace, discussed the effects of sexual discrimination and ways to reduce them. The research was based on data and information collected from the studies of the Public Personnel Bureau, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the World Bank, the Ministry of Women's Affairs and the United Nations.

At the end of the discussion, the committee composed of the supervisor of the thesis and the chairman of the committee, Prof. Ace Sousan, the internal examiner from Arab American University Dr. Salih Asri, and the external examiner from Al-Quds Open University Dr. Yousef Abu Farha, decided to grant the student a master's degree in strategic planning and fundraising.
