Arab American University welcomed a delegation from occupied Golan who visited the university to see the available academic programs, research centers, different facilities and buildings and to enhance communication.

Sheikh Taher AbuSaleh, Sheikh Qassim Safadi, Sheikh Rafiq Ibrahim and Sheikh Dr. Wasif Khater were in the delegation, and in their reception were Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri – the University President, Dr. Mo’ayad Abu Saa’- the VP for Academic Affairs, Mr. Fathi Imour- the Public Relations Manager and Mr. Anan Deek- the Manager of AAUP Offices in the green-line area.

Prof. Abu Zuhri- the University President welcomed the guests and provided a detailed explanation about Arab American University, its faculties and its academic programs of the different BA, MA and PhD degrees. He also talked about the university’s scientific and cultural role and its Arabic and international scientific partnerships. Both parties discussed some student issues aiming to provide scholarships for Golan students and to enhance communication between both parties. 

Prof. Abu Zuhri said that AAUP welcomes all Palestinian and Arab students wherever they are, and that in the university they give special attention to Golan students and will work to ease any kind of difficulties to help them register in AAUP.

The delegation assured that they are proud of Arab American University and praised its scientific and national role, and indicated that AAUP became the only choice for their students to complete their higher education especially with all the Israeli obstacles after they were separated from their homeland Syria.
