The students of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Arab American University have taken the doctor's oath during a ceremony held under the auspices of the Acting President of the University, Dr. Bara Asfour, and with the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hazem Khanfar, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Mohammed Jaradat, as well as members of the academic and administrative staffs of the Faculty and the University.
In a speech during the oath-taking ceremony, the Acting President of the University, Dr. Asfour, expressed his pride and appreciation for the new graduates, stressing that they represent a qualitative addition to the labor market in the field of dentistry. He also stressed the importance of the role played by the Arab American University in building specialized medical staffs, pointing to the efforts made by the Faculty to provide a distinguished educational and research environment.
Dr. Asfour urged the new graduates to continue learning and developing, and to have a high level of professional integrity, responsibility and competence, stressing that the profession of dentistry is one of the noblest professions, as it directly affects human life and health.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohammad Jaradat, congratulated the graduates on their success, stressing that they deserved this honor because of their diligence and dedication. He explained the importance of the oath they took, which represents their commitment to serving the community and advancing the profession of dentistry.
The speakers also highlighted the achievements of the Faculty of Dentistry, such as obtaining the European accreditation ADEE Leader, and providing qualitative specializations in the field of dentistry, in addition to addressing the challenges facing the health sector in Palestine, and emphasizing the role of graduates in facing these challenges.
In conclusion, the students of the Faculty of Dentistry took the graduation oath in one voice, marking the beginning of their medical and practical careers, and the speakers sent a message of thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to this achievement from faculty and administrative members at the University, and the support of the graduates' families for their children during their studies.
