In a ceremony organized by the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties/ Association of Arab Universities
In a ceremony in Alexandria- Egypt, organized by the General Secretariat of the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties/ affiliated to the Association of Arab Universities, the Faculty of Nursing at AAUP – Palestine, has won the Distinguish Institution Award for the year 2019 superior to 115 other nursing faculties registered in the association.
During the receiving of the Distinguish Institution Award - 2019
Dr. Mohammad Asia- the Assistant to the President of Medical Schools and Dr. Imad Abu Khader- the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing have received the award in the ceremony that was attended by Arab universities representatives and the head and members of the Association of Arab Universities.
Dr. Asia considered winning this award as a crowning to all the achievements and the efforts and hard working of the faculty members, staff members and laboratories technicians in the Faculty of Nursing during the last five years. He also mentioned that the faculty uses the best and most developed educational systems of the 3rd generation.
Dr. Asia added that the faculty deserves this award for the year 2019 as this faculty was the first to apply the 3rd generation technical learning system in Palestine. Dr. Asia also explained how the faculty has established the technological simulation hospital to teach students the safe health care and nursing, through using technological models in all the nursing jobs in hospitals. By adding this technology to teaching, this reduced the gap between theoretical learning inside classes and the practical learning and training in fields and hospitals.
Dr. Asia asserted that this award is a motivation and will encourage everyone to keep up the hard work and continue developing new strategies to education and learning. This award comes in the time when the Faculty of Nursing is preparing to launch the 4th generation of technology learning_ that is available in the European and American universities only_ in the beginning of the new academic year.
Dr. Imad Abu Khader- the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing congratulated the university and the faculty for this achievement that he considered to be praise from all Arab countries to the Faculty of Nursing and the university. He added that this is an achievement to Palestine; as one of its faculties has won the award for providing distinguish educational services for its students and the local community.
Dr. Abu Khader also congratulated the Faculty of Nursing for participating in the Scientific Society Committees as the commissioner for the learning and training committee.
Additionally, Dr. Abu Kahder explained that the success of this faculty is its graduates who have experiences and skills in the modern sciences that qualifies them to enter strongly the local, regional and international labor markets depending on the theoretical and practical education they got in providing distinguish medical services.
