The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muayad Abusaa, the Acting President of the University, received a delegation from Safa Bank. The delegation visited Hassib Sabbagh Information Technology Center of Excellence at the University to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two parties.
The guest delegation included the Sales Manager in the North, Alaa Abdel Hadi, the Director of Safa Bank, Jenin Branch, Jwan Younes, and the bank staff in Jenin and Ramallah. The delegation was received by the director of Hassib Sabbagh Information Technology Center, Dr. Eng. Mays Awwad.
Dr. Abusaa welcomed the delegation, and stressed the importance of cooperation with financial institutions, in order to provide services to students, indicating that the university opens its doors to all sectors.
For his part, Alaa Abdel Hadi, North Sales Manager at Safa Bank, expressed his pride in the Arab American University, pointing out that the bank, among its social responsibility, implements many activities, including providing training courses for university students.
Prior to the reception, a meeting was held between Eng. Mays Awwad, the director of the Hassib Sabbagh Information Technology Center of Excellence at the University and the delegation of Safa Bank. The two parties discussed ways of joint cooperation, as a memorandum of understanding will be signed during the coming period. This memorandum includes providing paid training for a number of university students in the sales department and organizing training and introductory courses in innovation and banking sciences.
The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the University organized an introductory workshop on the certified administrative accountant, in which it hosted a delegation from Safa Bank. The workshop targeted students of the accounting department in the faculty, with the presence of the dean of the college, Dr. Abdelbaset Rabaiah, the head of the accounting department, Dr. Rajeh Alawneh, and the lecturer in the department, Dr. Raed Saad.
