The Internationally Refereed Scientific Journal Vaccines Publishes a Research by the Arab American University on the Spread of the Corona Virus Antibodies

The internationally refereed scientific journal Vaccines, which is classified as Q1 with an impact factor of 5, published a research by researchers from the Arab American University on the prevalence of coronavirus antibodies and the factors affecting them among adults in the West Bank.

The researchers from the university, Dr. Faisal Awartani (as a main author), Dr. Nawar Qutub, and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Asia, cooperated to publish the research on the prevalence of antibodies to the Corona virus in the Palestinian society and the factors affecting it in the internationally refereed journal Vaccines.

Dr. Yousef Asfour, the founder chairman of the Arab American University Board of Directors, and Prof. Dr. Waleed Deeb, the academic advisor to the university’s board of directors, highly praised this scientific achievement. They emphasized that with all its capabilities, the university seeks to support scientific research and researchers to encourage research through various research awards, in addition to the constant endeavor to publish this Research in scientific and internationally refereed fields with global classification and impact to put Palestine on the map of scientific research at the global level, which would support the Palestinian cause at the global level.

This study comes within the framework of the studies carried out by the Arab American University to keep pace with the rapid changes in the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus to enhance the importance of studying the current epidemiological situation in Palestine. A sera survey and data collection related to the study were carried out with joint cooperation between the Centre for Research and Polling at the Arab American University and the Central Bureau of Statistics.
