Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri- the University President received Major-General Abdelqader Taamari- the Director General of Preventive Security who visited the university to see the academic services it provides to the local community and the scientific research.
Prof. Abu Zuhri welcomed the guest and the accompanied delegation from the General Administration Office in Ramallah and the Preventive Security office in jenin, and he gave an explanation about the university and hoe the university focuses on three main adjectives; one of them is providing services to the local community through the university’s medical, health, sports, agricultural and social facilities.
Prof. Abu Zuhri also explained how the university has many achievements such as the sports facilities that capable to host all the local, regional and international sport championships and the prosthetics factory that will be opened soon. He also mentioned that the university will soon establish the integrated medical city that provides all medical and health services from dentistry clinics to the physiotherapy and occupational therapy and the prosthetics factory. These facilities were established for many reasons such as to educate and teach students to be qualified when they move to the labor market, in addition to provide services to the Palestinian community.
Major-General Abdelqader Taamari- the Director General of Preventive Security expressed his happiness to visit the university, the educational edifice that all Palestinians are proud of, and said that Arab American University is a great gain to all Palestinians in general and especially to Jenin. He expressed the readiness of the preventive security to stand with AAUP to save this great academic edifice.
At the end of the meeting, the guest and the accompanied delegation had a tour around the university as they visited the sport city, the prosthetics factory, the anatomy laboratories in the Faculty of Medicine, the simulation lab of the Faculty of Nursing, the Heart Center, the Media Studio, the rehabilitation centers in the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences and the Dentistry clinics.
