Attended by Dr. Imad Abuhassan- the Head of the Department of Arabic and Media Department in Arab American University, the department students and some speakers, the Department organized a workshop about “Moral education and its role in promoting and the civil peace”. Speakers presented different papers in morals and skills to enhance and promote dialogue and the culture of individual and behavior.

Dr. Imad Abuhassan- the Head of the Department discussed a paper that focused on the importance of morals to keep the social fabric and presented the impact of morals on many of the problems and how morals can increase the trust and safety connections in the community. He explained the effect of technology in our current time as it helps in spreading the screen culture and consuming culture as well as transferring the individual into a prisoner.

Dr. Jameel Abusaadeh- a lecturer in Birzeit University discussed some great ideas about the role of the student movement in the campus and how it lately started to have a different orientation than the beginning, and he mentioned how important the role that this movement can do inside the Palestinian universities.

Dr. Ghassan Abdallah discussed a paper entitled “Human being, a culture and behavior” where he focused on the individual culture and on not being prejudice or making judgments out of a behavior. He also talked about how dangerous rumors can be when they spread in the Palestinian society and how they affect the individual’s culture.

In his turn, Mr. Radwan Abdo- an Educational Advisor clarified the importance of dialogue skills and not to be bias to a specific case for personal or partisan interests as this will fail the dialogue bases and distract people from focusing on the general or country’s benefit and interest.

As this workshop was through Zoon, Dr. William Henz- from London participated in the workshop and spotted light on his booklet “My Journey in Life”  as he explained the ways that other communities in the world are taking and the importance of the role that youth are playing to make a change in their own societies.

At the end of the workshop, attendees discussed some moral and educational cases in the Palestinian community and Dr. Mahmoud Khlouf- a lecturer in the Arabic Language and Media Department mentioned how important the educational media and informatics are in the Palestinian universities.
