Qudra Network from the Occupied Palestinian Territory Visits the Arab American University to Discuss the Prospects of Cooperation

The President of the Arab American University, Prof. Dr. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri, received a delegation from Qudra Network from the Occupied Palestinian Territory, with the aim of discussing prospects of cooperation and networking between the two parties.

The guest delegation included Reem Younes and Walid Al-Afifi, members of the network’s board of directors and founders of the network, Ahmed Muhanna, general manager of the network, and Mai Masalha, director of programs and networking. Besides the university president, Dr. Muayad Abusaa, vice president for academic affairs, the dean of student affairs, Dr. Bashar Draghma, the director of Public Relations, Dr. Fadi Jumaa, and Public Relations Officer, Ms. Samah Dawehdi were at the reception.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abu Zuhri, welcomed the guest delegation, and stressed the importance of cooperation with all institutions and companies, especially the Arab ones in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. He presented a detailed explanation of the University, its faculties and majors, as well as the services provided by the University through its centers to the local community, which also contributes to the training of students through these centers. Prof. Dr. Abu Zuhri indicated that the University is very interested in networking and cooperation with local, Arab and international institutions.

For his part, Ahmed Muhanna, General Manager of Qudra Network, gave an introductory brief about the network, and its vision of a symbiotic society capable of organized giving. He mentioned that the network was established in 2019 after a meeting between a group of donor businessmen and women to discuss the issue of the strategic development of donation in the Arab community in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. He continued saying that it was decided to establish a societal body that organizes and develops the field of donation and charitable work, and organizes knowledge and information about donation. This would contribute decisively to increasing donations and leaving a positive developmental community impact, in addition to enhancing belonging and solidarity as well as meeting humanitarian and developmental needs.
