The Arab American University hosted the fourth Olympic Sports Week launching events in presence of the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Sabri Saidam, President of the Palestinian Olympic Committee Major General Jibril Rajoub, VP of the Arab American University Dr. Nizam Diab, Governor of Jenin Ibrahim Ramadan, Head of the Schools Sports Union Dr. Bassri Saleh, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee Col. Abdulmajid Hajjah, representatives of the Olympic week sponsors Bank Al-Quds and Jawwal, directors of education in a number of governorates, and representatives of official and popular institutions.

The Olympic Week opening activities included artistic and sports performances by male and female schools from all over the country.
