A group of Arab American University students participated in a competition organized in Tunisia, entitled IEEE R8 Entrepreneurship Committee, at the IEEE R8 Student & Young Professional Congress 2022.

The University students participating in the competition were in two groups. The first team included "Lina Zahalka, Haitham Sharbati, and Noor Daraghmeh". This team was called GREENERS. The team won the first place. It presented an initiative to produce natural fertilizer by using carbon dioxide emissions and using it in the production process In order to reduce the proportion of harmful gases in the atmosphere and stimulate green spaces in the world.

The second team was called LANG SMART. This team consisted of "Laith Nazzal, Anwar Ghanem, Muhammad Attia, Sa'ed Abu Ghulamy". It won the third place, through the initiative based on programming an application that treats speech and hearing problems through artificial intelligence.
