The University participated for two days 25-26 October, in the annual meeting of the Mediterranean Universities Union held in Venice Italy, hosting the prestigious Ca' Foscari University.

The representatives of the University VP for International Relations Dr. Dalal Erekat, VP for Planning and Quality Dr. Muath Sabha.

The representatives of the university participated in various workshops held on the sidelines of the meeting. As several other meetings were held with different universities to discuss ways of joint cooperation, including joint programs and research projects and different students and academic staff exchange programs at the university.

It is worth noting that the Mediterranean Universities Union includes more than 120 universities around the Mediterranean. This annual gathering provides a unique opportunity for communication between representatives of international organizations and universities to exchange views and determine the policy of the Union to ensure initiatives, activities and conferences in the academic and university fields.

The workshops included several topics, mainly e-learning, open education, refugee problems, sustainable mobility in the coastal and Mediterranean areas for work, education or visit. It also discussed EU programs for Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, cooperation between Euro- Mediterranean universities with Asia, and projects of Mediterranean Universities Union, and higher education while crises.
